1.attitude to/towards sth. 對(duì)……的態(tài)度
【例句】Her charm resides in her naive attitude to life. 她的魅力在于她對(duì)人生天真爛漫的態(tài)度。
【總結(jié)】attitude后常接towards/to，指“對(duì)于……的態(tài)度，看法”，如her attitude towards/to the question(她對(duì)這個(gè)問題的看法)。值得注意的是，因上面例子中的賓語是question，有時(shí)候可以用on代替to，如her attitude on the question.
2.attract one's attention 吸引某人注意力
【例句】The chairperson clapped to attract our attention. 主席拍手以喚起我們的注意。
【拓展】
① absorb/ draw/ attract one’s attention 吸引的注意力
②attract to 吸引，引誘
3.back and forth 來來往往地、(前后)來回地
【例句】He fluttered back and forth in the corridor. 他在走廊上煩躁不安地走來走去。
【總結(jié)】back and forth 只能做副詞 來回來去。
【拓展】backward(s) and forward(s)=to and fro=back and forth=up and down
4.bark at
①(狗)向……叫
【例句】What are the dogs barking at? 狗為何吠叫?
②厲聲說話;咆哮
【例句】He barked at his secretary. 他呵責(zé)秘書。
【拓展】bark out
①厲聲說出
②高聲叫賣
5.be (good) value for money…… 值錢;花的錢值得;合算
【例句】This car is good value for your money. 這輛汽車你買得很合算。
【拓展】value at 估價(jià)為
e.g.That watch was valued at $100. 那只表估計(jì)值一百美元。
